To help support #LightTheWorld, The Piano Guys, David Archuleta and Peter Hollens and many more are inviting all of their fans to join them for a LIVE CONCERT online, with some very special guests. This special live concert will take place on Dec. 12th @ 5:00 PM EST (3:00 PM MST).
David Archuleta, Peter Hollens, Nathan Pacheco, Dave & Claire Crosby, Tiffany Alvord, Taylor Davis & The Piano Guys will all perform for this concert.
Taylor Davis, a YouTube violinist with over 2.1 million subscribers, who is not a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints told the Deseret News that she is a believer that
“Jesus is the reason for the season…Jesus came to serve, and it’s the perfect time of year for us to be doing that and it’s kind of what embodies the spirit of Christmas,” Davis said. “So it’s an awesome initiative because as much fun as it is to plan parties and gather with family and friends and everything, the focus should be on something greater than ourselves I think.”
Peter Hollens spoke to LDS S.M.I.L.E. and told us that he is looking forward to this amazing event. He stated that he was thrilled when he was asked to participate in this event back last Spring and remembers the amazing event he did with many of the same Youtubers over three years ago when they came together to set a world record singing “Angels We Have Heard on High.”
Peter is currently on Broadway with his wife Evynne in the show “Home for the Holidays” which is a wintertime special that runs at New York’s August Wilson Theatre.
He told us that every night he performs, he “reflects back to that nativity event three years ago” to get himself emotionally ready for his part. “It’s had that kind of effect on me and I’m so grateful that my family was able to be a part of that event.”
While he doesn’t yet know exactly what to expect for this upcoming live performance in New York, he is really excited to be working with many of the same individuals he had the chance to work with back then.
