KWWL originally reported a story of an eastern Iowa dad went above and beyond for Halloween.

He decided to donate a pumpkin to every student and teacher at Lincoln Elementary in Waterloo. That’s over 670 pumpkins in total.

He bought and donated 650 little pumpkins to the students and 20 larger pumpkins that were donated to the teachers at the school.

According to the report:

“He says he decided to do this because Halloween is his favorite holiday, and he loves seeing the smiles on the kids faces when they get their free pumpkins.”

He understands that school can be stressful for both students and teachers and hopes that this little act will help them stay positive.
