LDS Pianist Jason Lyle Black Debuts at #1 on iTunes.

Jason Lyle Black, award-winning concert pianist and viral YouTube star, is releasing his gorgeous debut album, Piano Preludes, this week. Produced by LDS favorite and internationally-renowned artist Paul Cardall, Piano Preludes features fifteen original compositions for piano and strings designed to help listeners feel peace, love, and hope.

“Piano Preludes has been a great opportunity for me to share a deeper part of myself as an artist,” notes Black. “Many people know me for my musical comedy or covers of popular songs. With Piano Preludes, I now have the opportunity to share deeper emotions, of hope, longing, and sacredness through music.”

Producer Paul Cardall calls Piano Preludes “one of the most beautiful albums I’ve ever been associated with.” The album features the talents of Grammy-nominated violinist and LDS star Jenny Oaks Baker, on “Champs-Élysées,” a rich, French-inspired piece infused with memory, longing, and nostalgia.

Black and Baker released a music video today of the feature track, set in the Loire valley of France. “I’m happy to be featured on this album,” notes Jenny Oaks Baker. “Beautiful writing and lovely playing!” Along with Baker, Piano Preludes features YouTube star The Piano Gal, who has collaborated with Black and who will join him for a signing in Orem and in Salt Lake.

Piano Preludes is currently available on Amazon, iTunes, and at Deseret Book. Black will perform selections from Piano Preludes at various signings at Deseret Book stores over the next two weeks. For details on the signings, visit the Facebook event page here. Later this summer, Black will perform a free show sponsored by the Sandy Arts Council at the Sandy Amphitheater, on July 6.
