So we do a lot of the “Things Only Mormons Would Understand” posts but today we decided to do something a little different. Instead of painting a general stereotype of the entire religion, I’ve decided just to post some of my own personal MRW (my reaction when)/perspective here on LDS SMILE and then let you decide how relatable they may or may not be to you. So here are some of my reactions and thoughts with the various hats that I wear (as a Mormon, Father, EFY counselor etc.)
As a gamer, how I always visualize Joseph leaving Potiphar’s wife.
As someone who can speak Korean, MRW people ask me to translate all of the other Asian languages.
MRW we are goofing off as Deacons and one of the other Deacon’s parents walks in, sees us and takes him away.
How I thought EFY kids saw me dance as an EFY counselor.
How they actually saw me dance as a counselor.
When someone I can’t stand actually makes a funny joke.
When someone gives a concise but direct explanation of an Isaiah analogy.
MRW my spouse comes in and tells me that it’s Fast Sunday.
MRW, as a father, my kids try to hide something from me.
MRW people in my Sunday School class start to go way off topic with their comments.
MRW when I check my phone and anti-mormons are trying to make fun of us on LDS SMILE.
MRW I prayed about the Book of Mormon and found out it was true
MRW I turn on my music in the car, not caring what my kids think.
