Just wanted to share some of my favorite “peace” music with you. This is the music I turn on in my kitchen when I just need to feel some peace. It is amazing to me how quickly my children will go from running around crazy to just a quiet calm when I turn this on! Michael Ethington’s piano solo’s to famous hymns are so beautiful and I am so excited that he has given us some of his CD’s to use as giveaways!
It’s so easy to enter! Just leave a comment telling us what your favorite hymn is (it doesn’t necessarily have to be one of his) and whoever has the most likes will win! The contest ends Saturday at noon so make sure to enter early to have time to gather those likes. We have both albums “Believe” and “Become” that you can choose from.
You can check out his music along with an amazing video of temples around the world here. Or you can check out his site at www.ldspianosolo.com
A hymn from his music? or just our favorite?….either way, one of my favorites is Lead Kindly Light.
Nearer My God to Thee
My favorite tune, and words that go with it is If You Could Hie To Kolob
If you could Hie to Kolob!
High On The Mountain Top.
It was my favorite, then I found out my ancestor wrote it. Now it is an awesome song.
Oh, My Father!
If You Could Hie To Kolob!
Nearer My God to Thee!
Savior, Redeemer of My Soul
Nearer My God to Thee, A Child’s Prayer, and I am a Child of God
How Great Thou Art
Abide With Me; ‘Tis Eventide
Be Still My Soul
There is Sunshine in my Soul Today
Our family’s hymn is “There is Sunshine in My Soul Today” you can’t sing it and then be grumpy. It always makes you smile!
oh, wow! I had never heard of this artist before today, and . . . wow! this is beautiful!
my favourite hymn is ‘All Creatures of Our God and King’ 🙂
I love so many of the hymns. That are all so special to me, it is hard to narrow it down to one. If I had to choose I would probably say “Come Come Ye Saints”. The pioneers had so much faith and showed so much love for God. They gave it all to prepare the way for us.
Definitely I Believe In Christ. Every single time I hear it I bawl like a baby. It was the song sung at my brothers mission farewell 3 years ago, which helped bring me back into the church 🙂
@rachel_george:disqus you are the winner!! Congratulations and thanks for participating. If you can just message us your address on our Facebook page, I will get your CD sent off early this next week. Also, let me know which album you would like. I have the Believe and the Become albums. (or I also have his Christmas album if you would rather have that.) You can check out Michael’s website to listen to samples of the different albums. Thanks again!
